I have achieved a Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care. As part of my course I completed two seperate placements/voluntary hours. One at the Heatlands Project, Carlisle which is a day centre for adults with a wide range of learning and physical disabilities, autism and acquired brain injuries. As part of my placement I assisted the service users in daily activities and teaching life skills such as cooking. I gave them the support that they needed to complete tasks and help to maintain a safe stimulating environment. My second placement was at Langholm Academy in the "learning Base" and also giving classroom assistance to individuals who needed extra support due to them having learning/behavioural difficulties and disabilities. It was a mixture of one 2 one support in the classroom and group support during activities.

I will also be taking part in the PA Passport training programme which is noted below.

Although I may not have as much experience, I have a passion for Health & Social Care and working with people. I am determinded to make a career as a Personal Assistant. I always make the effort to ensure that people feel safe and comfortable in my presence, so that I can assist them in all ways neccessary.
